Fadao comes from the famous dwellings built by Le Corbusier in Marseille and named by their
people “la Maison du Fada”.
In Chinese, the Fa and Dao ideograms respectively mean France and Path.
Through its cooperation with chinese partners, Fadao wants to highlight french specificities like
contextualism, ingenierie and art of living.

Fadao (80 persons) gathers several professional structures joining their skills in urban planning,
architecture, landscape architecture, environmental engineering, structural and parasismic
engineering.

China today, through its innovation and dynamism, leads the global development and Fadao, on a
smaller scale, would like to be part of it.
Fadao is a joint-venture directed by Philippe Jonathan (graduate from Qinghua University in
Beijing) and Pascal Laporte (Partner at Vezzoni’s architects).

Its strategic objectives for 2013 are:
- Project development in China with local partners
- Cooperation with chinese partners for projects in Europe and Africa.

Fadao uses conceptual tools in 2D and 3D (BIM Autodesk).
Throughout its members, the group is affiliated to French and European professional organisms:
Ordre des Architectes, Afex, Société des urbanistes…

In the fall time of 2010, Fadao will take part in a workshop in Wuhan (China).
A second commission is expected within the first semester 2011.

to city and country planning :
